Processes & Activities You’ll Want to Complete
- Review your DegreeWorks to ensure you have met all the requirements of your degree.
- Apply to Graduate (available early fall)
- Access the online modules in iGrad, our free financial literacy tool, to be sure you are ready to manage your finances post-graduation (available now)
- Visit the Commencement website (mid-March) and find information about:
- Tickets
- Regalia
- Schedule
- Diplomas, and more.
- Record your name in NameCoach (available early March)
- Create an Alumni email address
- Update your Wake Network Account (available early May)
- Complete the Pre-Graduation Student Technology Checklist
- Learn how to transfer or save your important data, email and files from Google Drive, Docs, Mail, LinkedIn Learning, OneDrive, Dropbox, Handshake, WakeSites and Zoom.
- Review helpful pointers as you prepare your digital files for life as a Wake Forest alum.
- Note: each WFU student account (including Mail, Drive and other services) is deactivated 60 days after graduation. However, prior to graduation, all University communication will continue to be sent to the Wake Forest student email address.
- Pick up cap and gown
- Review the ABCs of Commencement (useful for students AND parents/families)
- Complete your First Destination information
Keep Learning
- Take webinars, attend workshops, join online courses through LEARN with @LifeafterWake and the School of Business
- Planning to Apply to Graduate or Professional School?
- Request your transcript through the Registrar’s office
- Request an appointment with a career coach to review your personal statement and prepare for interviews
- Check the OPCD website for resources, tools, and to request an appointment with a coach. Follow @WFUOPCD on Instagram for the latest information on employers, events, tips and tools you can use.
- Check out the CLASS website for in-person learning opportunities ranging from creating accessible digital content to maintaining balance to gaining resiliency skills and more. Schedule time for one-on-one coaching to develop tailored strategies to meet your needs and ensure you finish Wake Forest strong and enter the workforce or graduate school prepared.
