I feel like I’ve grown a lot more confident in myself and have learned to trust myself. It is easy, especially as a first year, to think you have no idea what is going on and feel very unsure. Throughout my time at Wake Forest, I have discovered a confidence in myself that I will take with me past my undergraduate career.

My time in the Wake Forest Dance Company has meant so much to me. Growing up dancing, I knew I wanted to dance in college, but I didn’t expect the community and home I would find in the Dance Company. The warm environment and shared love for dance made every rehearsal and performance even more special. I am grateful to have been able to be a part of this group and believe it has been the most meaningful experience to me.

Pro Humanitate is what initally drew me to Wake Forest and has majorly shaped my time at Wake Forest. It was the driving force that pushed me to join civic-oriented organization and helped cultivate my passion for social justice. I plan to take the spirit of Pro Humanitate into my future career as I hope to become a public interest lawyer, advocating for others and helping my community.

My favorite Wake Forest tradition is Pitsgiving. I look forward to it every year. I love how everyone comes together to pack the Pit, and it is such a fan way to spend time with friends before we all disperse for Thanksgiving Break.

The most rewarding experience I have had as a Wake Forest student is being a part of Student Government. When I joined my first year, I did not anticipate the impact this organization would have on my leadership and character. I have grown greatly as a person and deepened my passion for advocacy through Student Government.
