“Both faculty and students have made my time at Wake a memorable one.”

The most fundamental change I have experienced since being a first-year in college is that I have become more interested in the arts. Today I have found a passion for reading classic literature, history books, and enjoy going to art museums. I have Wake Forest’s liberal arts curriculum to thank for that.

Tyler Childers’ “All Your’n” will remind me of my time at Wake Forest. It was the first song I listened to at Wake Forest, and it being a romantic song only adds to the memories I have made here.

My favorite class outside of my major has been Intro to Atlantic History and it was taught by Dr. Guy Emerson Mount. I have always had a passion for history, but Dr. Mount was able to make history very interesting. The class was mostly discussion-based, which I enjoyed because like historians, we were able to share different viewpoints of historical events.

I enjoy Arnold Palmer Day. I’m not a great golfer, nor watch golf, but the legacy Arnold Palmer has at Wake Forest and in the sport of golf is like no other. Additionally, who wouldn’t want free Arnold Palmers while walking to class?

The people I met along the way. Both faculty and students have made my time at Wake a memorable one.
