“Serving and helping overlooked people have shaped my life forever.”

Pro Humanitate and service as a whole have been guiding principles throughout my college career. There is nothing more impactful and rewarding than engaging with the local community and doing something that creates immediate and real-world improvements. Serving and helping overlooked people have shaped my life forever and have provided invaluable lessons I will take with me to my next destinations.

Taking a Sound Design class with Dr.Hood. A bit of a change of scenery from my mainly STEM schedule, this class allowed me to explore a passion that I’ve always wanted to dive into but never had the means and resources to. I truly enjoyed learning about music composition and creating house and EDM tunes!

Pitsgiving! I love eating great food and spending good quality time with friends and classmates.

I was surprised how Wake Forest does an incredible job at empowering students to pursue what they want to. There are so many resources available to students. From clubs to volunteer opportunities, passion groups, research experiences or enrichment funds, it’s all at the student’s fingertips.

I hope to still see many familiar faces: staff and faculty. They are what shaped my Wake Forest experience, and I would love to see them again in 10 years to catch up with them in person! Great people are what form great communities and memorable experiences.

Four years go by crazily fast. Be active and engaged, I think this is the only time in our life we have so many opportunities to do and learn stuff. Additionally, this will be the only time you and your friends will be around each other all the time. Cherish every moment with them. Also take risks. There is never a better time in your life to develop a new hobby, conduct a research project or learn a new skill.

Rushing the court after a home win over Duke. A surreal experience!
